Hamas Movement condemned Saturday the Israeli aggression that targeted the south of Tartus Governorate in Syria.

The movement's spokesperson, Hazem Qassem, said the Zionist enemy is attacking the Syrian territories, depicting a criminal behavior that constitutes an extension of its aggression against our people and nation.

Qassem pointed out that the escalation of the Israeli aggression against the components of the nation coincides with the efforts of some states in the region to form military alliances with the occupation, confirming that this path only serves the expansionist policy of "Israel".

The Palestinian spokesperson affirmed that the Israeli occupation poses a danger to our people and our nation, which must be confronted by all forces in the nation to put an end to its escalating crimes.

Earlier, a military source told SANA that two civilians were injured and some material losses were recorded as a result of Israeli occupation aggression on the coastal city of Tartus.

"The Israeli enemy carried out an air strike" at about 6:30 am near the town of Al-Hamidiyah, the source told SANA, identifying the locations hit as poultry farms.

The Israeli occupation strike was conducted from the Mediterranean Sea, west of Lebanon's northern city of Tripoli, and "led to the injury of two civilians, including a woman," the source indicated.
