Haniyeh: Palestine is the key to stability
Head of Hamas political bureau confirms that there are ongoing huge changes that confirm we are at a turning point of paramount importance.
Head of the Hamas Movement, Ismail Haniyeh, said Wednesday that the West Bank is witnessing signs of an Intifada, a resurgence of the Resistance, and continuous heroic operations monitored by both near and far.
He added in a speech today during the fifteenth Al-Quds Scientific Conference in Palestine, that "the rebellious Palestinian people in the West Bank have broken all rings of fear and thwarted all Zionist plans aimed at building the so-called 'new Palestinian' who is only concerned with livelihood and sustenance."
Haniyeh stressed that Seif Al-Quds Battle, the US withdrawal from Afghanistan, and the Resistance's rise in the West Bank all confirm changes that will trigger an important turning point in the region.
Regarding Seif Al-Quds Battle, Haniyeh reiterated that it was meant to defend Al-Quds, maintain its Islamic identity, and highlight its position as a focal point in the struggle against the enemy. He also stressed that it was an exceptional battle that carried along strategic dimensions concerning the future of resolving the struggle and liberating the land.

He explained that the Resistance, with its heroic performance in the battle, scored three very important points. First, stepping out of the square of typical reactions to Israeli aggression, highlighting that the Resistance was in control of the battle, moving from defense to attack and reshaping the future.
Second, he explained that the rules of engagement were written in blood, thus bringing Al-Quds back into the core of the struggle, contrary to what the enemy believed that the Resistance, specifically in Gaza, is preoccupied with the suffering caused by the unjust siege, and that the rules of engagement are limited to Gaza only."
The third point is that new generations recognize the comprehensive resistance as a strategic option for confrontation with the enemy and the closest way to achieve the Palestinians' goals. He stressed that the "valiant resistance expresses the will of the people in confronting the Zionist project in Palestine."
Haniyeh stated that the Palestine cause is considered the core of the conflict in the region, but also the key to its stability. He noted that Seif Al-Quds restored the luster of the cause at both international and regional levels.
