Harris 'committed to Israel security' after Golan strike
US Vice President Kamala Harris underlines that the US is committed to the Israeli occupation's security as she accuses Hezbollah of being behind the attack on the Golan Heights.
US Vice President Kamala Harris' commitment to the Israeli occupation's security remains unwavering, her national security adviser, Phil Gordon, said Sunday in light of the recent bombing in the occupied Golan Heights, which killed over a dozen civilians, including children.
Harris, according to Gordon, was briefed on the situation as he also accused the Lebanese Resistance movement Hezbollah of being behind the attack after the latter denied any responsibility, and amid reports that the Israeli occupation forces were behind the attack after an Iron Dome missile deviated and struck the football field.
"The Vice President has been briefed and is closely monitoring Hezbollah’s horrific attack on a soccer field in Majdal Shams in northern Israel yesterday which killed a number of children and teenagers. She condemns this horrific attack and mourns for all those killed and wounded," Gordon stated.
Reaffirming the US administration's stance, Gordon emphasized, "Israel continues to face severe threats to its security, and the Vice President’s support for Israel’s security is ironclad."
The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon - Hezbollah fully denied any involvement and responsibility for a deadly strike on the village of Majdal Shams in the occupied Syrian Golan Heights, contrary to Israeli claims about the matter.
Hezbollah stressed that it had nothing to do with the incident, completely denying all the "false claims" in that regard.
This comes after a missile of unknown origin struck a playground in the occupied Syrian village of Majdal Shams, which is made up entirely of Druze Syrians. The strike killed at least 10 civilians, including children, and wounded at least a dozen others.
Reports indicate that the explosion may have been caused by an Iron Dome anti-air missile that deviated off its course and struck the area, as per Israeli media.
