Heated disagreements between Netanyahu, Gallant: Israeli media
There is an internal battle within the Israeli establishment over continuing the aggression on Gaza, expanding its scope, and deepening it.
Israeli media reported Sunday that the Israeli occupation military is floundering whether to deploy additional forces to the north on the borders with Lebanon or not.
The Israeli Channel 13 mentioned that there is an internal battle within the Israeli establishment over continuing the aggression on Gaza, expanding its scope, and deepening it. It noted that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu opposes this decision, while his Security Minister Yoav Gallant supports it.
The Israeli channel indicated that Gallant "cannot communicate with the Prime Minister during the war, and this will not lead to victory."
Concurrently, Israeli media reported that during the peak of the war, guards of the Israeli Prime Minister prevented Gallant from entering Netanyahu's office.
The same media sources indicated that the Office Director of the Israeli Minister of Security was caught secretly recording sensitive security session discussions, which outraged Netanyahu's office that requested the recording be stopped, filed a complaint with the Shin Bet, and called for an investigation into the matter.
Additionally, Netanyahu's office clarified that the Office Director of the Israeli Minister of Security acted under Gallant's orders.
Moreover, Israeli media pointed out that merely filing a complaint indicates several things, including that Netanyahu believes Gallant is preparing materials for the following day by recording the sessions.
Earlier, Israeli media reported that Netanyahu decided to cancel a speech to reserve soldiers at the last moment after receiving insults from some of them. According to a report from Israeli Channel 12, Netanyahu arrived a few days ago to visit reserve soldiers in the Paratroopers and Maglan brigades. Before delivering a speech, some of the attendees yelled at him, calling him a liar and describing his leadership as worthless, among other insults. As a result, Netanyahu decided to leave the place quickly.
Former Major General in the Israeli reserves and former Northern Command leader, Noam Tibon, gave Netanyahu a "zero" for his government's leadership amid Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, which he described as "the biggest failure in the history of the Israeli military."
The Israeli occupation government is facing massive accusations from its political opponents on the one hand, and the settlers on the other, due to its failure to contain Operation Al-Aqsa Flood and the Israeli military's inability to protect the Israelis.
The latest data released by the Israeli occupation revealed that the number of Israelis killed in Operation Al-Aqsa Flood has increased to around 1,500 while those injured have exceeded 3,200.
An opinion poll conducted by the Israeli newspaper Maariv showed a decline in settlers' support for Netanyahu's Likud Party amid Operation Al-Aqsa Flood.
Israeli occupation President Isaac Herzog was not spared from being held responsible by settlers either. Israeli media reported on Thursday that, addressing Herzog, captive family members warned that if their sons and daughters are not returned, they "will shake Israel to its core if necessary," emphasizing that they "will not accept leaving them in Gaza."
A new survey by Israeli professor Camil Fuchs, based on a comprehensive study that included 620 people in the Jewish sector, found that 79% of Netanyahu's coalition voters in the recent elections consider Operation Al-Aqsa Flood as a failure of the Israeli leadership.
94% of the polled Israelis believe that the Israeli government is responsible for the situation that led to the complete collapse of the settlement protection system in the South. Additionally, 75% of them believe that the Israeli government bears very significant responsibility.
