The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon, Hezbollah, released a statement on Thursday, condemning the assassination of Iraqi leader martyr Hajj Wisam Mohammed Saber (Abu Baqer Al-Saadi) and his companions, in Baghdad, at the hands of the US, earlier on Wednesday.

"Hezbollah strongly condemns the assassination crime of the martyr leader Hajj Wisam Mohammed Saber (Abu Baqer Al-Saadi) and a group of his martyr brothers at the hands of the US occupation forces in Iraq, considering it a continuation of its previous crimes and its ongoing aggression against the peoples of our nation in Iraq, Syria, and Yemen, and a flagrant violation of Iraq's sovereignty, security, and stability," the statement read.

Moreover, Hezbollah reaffirmed its confidence in the Resistance movements of the region saying "[we] have full confidence in the fighters from our Iraqi people, who are determined to adhere to the path of Resistance and liberation, and to continue supporting and assisting the oppressed Palestinian people."

"This sinful assassination will only increase their determination to continue on this path," Hezbollah accentuated.
