"After closely monitoring and anticipating the movements of enemy forces, fighters from the Islamic Resistance planted a number of explosive devices in the area of Tal Ismail," detonating the IEDs after a unit from the Golani Brigade crossed the border and reached the location of the ambush.
Israeli media described the operation as "exceptional," confirming that the Golani soldiers were targeted with explosives "on the border with Lebanon" early Monday, adding that the incident is being investigated.
The operation, according to Hezbollah, was "in support of the steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and their brave and honorable Resistance."

Last week, Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth said that Hezbollah is "far from defeat," pointing out that the battle in the North with the Resistance is an integral part of the multi-front confrontation.
It also reported, according to Israeli records since October 7, that Hezbollah has launched 3,100 rockets and mortars toward Israeli targets, in addition to 33 explosive drones.
The daily noted that Hezbollah has fired about 240 heavy rockets, ranging from 100 to 500 kg, causing severe damage. These bombs destroyed the headquarters of the al-Jalil Division in "Biranit".
Furthermore, according to the report, Hezbollah has launched at least 700 anti-armor missiles, some of them advanced, which not only hit settlements and frontline positions of the Israeli occupation forces across the withdrawal line, otherwise known as the Blue Line, but also in strategic bases like the air traffic control unit in "Meron".
