Hezbollah attacks IOF sites, soldiers amid intense escalations
Hezbollah says its Resistance fighters carried out four operations against Israeli military targets and soldiers in support of Gaza and in response to the attacks on Lebanon.
The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon - Hezbollah announced on Monday a series of new operations its fighters carried out against Israeli occupation military targets and soldiers along the border with occupied Palestine.
Hezbollah said its operations were in support of the steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and their brave and honorable Resistance and in response to the Israeli attacks on the steadfast southern Lebanese villages and homes.
The Lebanese group said its fighter attacked a gathering of Israeli soldiers between the settlements of al-Manara and Margaliot with appropriate weapons, hitting it directly.
It added that its Resistance fighters engaged a deployment of Israeli soldiers in the vicinity of the al-Samaqa site in the occupied Lebanese Kfar Chouba hills with artillery shells.
Later, Hezbollah confirmed that its fighters targeted a building used by Israeli soldiers in the Yir'on settlement with appropriate weapons, achieving a direct hit. The Islamic Resistance added that, as a result of the attack, the building caught fire and those inside it were killed or injured. It also pointed out that the operation was in response to the Israeli aggression against the southern Lebanese towns of Blida, Maroun al-Ras, and Aitaroun.
In addition, Hezbollah said its fighters targeted another building used by Israeli soldiers in the al-Manara settlement with appropriate weapons. It mentioned the operation was also in response to the Israeli aggression against the southern Lebanese towns of Blida, Maroun al-Ras, and Aitaroun.
It is noteworthy that Hezbollah commenced its operations against "Israel" on October 8, 2023, and linked halting its attacks on Israeli military targets to the end of the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
The Lebanese Resistance group's intensified operations on "Israel", especially aerial attacks, and the consequent displacement of settlers in northern occupied Palestine have pushed some within the Israeli occupation government to call for a large-scale offensive in Lebanon.
The Israeli occupation military has already "approved and validated" operational plans for an offensive in Lebanon, and senior Israeli commanders also decided to "accelerate the readiness of the forces on the ground."
US President Joe Biden's administration has consistently claimed that it wants to avoid a war between "Israel" and Hezbollah, advocating for diplomatic de-escalation. US envoy Amos Hochstein was recently sent to the region in an attempt to supposedly help ease tensions.
Israeli Security Minister Yoav Gallant is also in Washington to discuss with American officials "Israel's" handling of the war, including the fighting with Hezbollah on the northern front.
