During a mass rally in solidarity with Palestine, Deputy Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sheikh Naim Qassem, affirmed today that the Resistance in Lebanon is fully prepared and is closely monitoring the progress of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, adding that when need be, the Resistance will act.

Qassem said Hezbollah is committed to the battle of resistance and liberation and the whole Umma is responsible for being involved in the confrontation with "Israel".

In a related context, during a visit to the border village of Maroun Al-Ras, Hezbollah MP Hassan Fadlallah affirmed that "the Resistance will exercise its national right to defend its homeland against any potential Israeli aggression."

Recalling the victory of the July 2006 war, Fadlallah praised the steadfastness of the Palestinian people in resisting Israeli brutality.

Fadlallah emphasized that "any Israeli aggression against Lebanon or its targeting will not go unanswered."

Accompanying Fadlallah in his visit to Maroun Al-Ras was Lebanese Minister of Information, Ziad Makari, who described what is happening in Gaza as a genocide in the making carried out by the occupation forces against the Palestinian people.

Makari emphasized that the Lebanese government's position is clear, in opposing the ongoing genocide committed against the Palestinian people.

He also pointed out that the war is not only waged in weapons but is also waged in the realm of media, which is of grave danger.
