Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP, Ali Fayyad, spoke to Al Mayadeen about the Resistance's capabilities and its management of the field, confirming that the Israeli occupation is stuck in a predicament.
In an interview for Al Mayadeen, Fayyad affirmed that the Resistance has used ballistic missiles at different stages without depleting its strategic stockpile because "the developments on the ground do not necessitate deploying all its weapons in the confrontation."
"The Resistance does not have to deploy its strategic arsenal at stages that do not require it," he asserted, adding that "from the perspective of maintaining deterrence balance, the Resistance has engaged in practices similar to those of the Israeli enemy."
He explained that the Resistance has entered a process of restoring deterrence and balance equations with the Israeli occupation in a way that prevents it from achieving its objectives, emphasizing that the situation on the battlefield is the decisive factor.
Fayyad clarified that the Resistance wants to hurt the occupation and inflict the greatest losses on it, despite not being a classical army. He stressed that "we must take into account the Resistance's ability to achieve what it has raised in terms of slogans, especially regarding the issue of displacing settlers."
He affirmed that "our society is steadfast and resolute in its choices and increasingly rallying around the Resistance" and mentioned that "as part of the political team for Hezbollah, we now operate according to daily guidance issued by the leadership."
Battlefield cornerstone for government in negotiations
Regarding negotiations, Fayyad stated that "the battlefield is the cornerstone for the Lebanese government, which handles diplomatic and political communications." He considered that "the achievements that the Resistance has accomplished on the battlefield have closed the chapter on Israeli diktats."
Furthermore, Fayyad emphasized that it had exhausted the effectiveness of its strategic stockpile in the first weeks of the confrontation and is now stuck in the core of a predicament.
He pointed out that open hysterical destruction, as committed by the Israeli occupation forces, does not change the direction of the struggle nor does it force the Resistance's hand.
He noted that a different Israeli political discourse and language prevailed, citing how Israeli Security Minister Yoav Gallant spoke of "Israel fighting while lacking direction."
Fayyad added that a discussion has begun in "Israel" regarding the outcomes of this war and its ability to extricate itself from the Lebanese "quagmire", stressing that "the euphoria the Israelis had experienced has faded, and the shock of reality and awakening has settled in."
