Hezbollah pummels 'Israel', details 60 days of military operations

The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon is inflicting devastating losses on the Israeli occupation forces as Operation People of Might continues to unfold in defense of the people of Lebanon and Palestine.

The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon - Hezbollah launched Sunday a series of operations targeting Israeli forces and strategic locations in light of the escalating aggression on Lebanon, with the Resistance affirming that the operations came in support of the Palestinian people in Gaza and in defense of Lebanon and its people.

In one of their last operations for Saturday, fighters ambushed advancing Israeli soldiers on the eastern outskirts of the town of Chamaa. Upon reaching the ambush point, the Resistance engaged them with machine guns and rocket-propelled grenades at close range, resulting in confirmed injuries among the Israeli forces.

Early on Sunday, Resistance fighters targeted the Ma'ale Golani barracks, home to the headquarters of the Hermon Brigade 810, with a barrage of rockets.

The southern boder village of al-Khiam saw intense confrontations throughout the day, as the Islamic Resistance fighters bombarded occupation soldiers attemoting to infiltrate the village a total of eight times from its southern area, and twice from its eastern one. 

The fighters also struck the Krayot area, located north of the occupied city of Haifa, with a salvo of rockets, as well as the settlement of Ma'alot Tarshiha with another rocket salvo. 

Later in the evening, an Israeli Merkava tank at the Tayr Harfa-Jebin triangle was grilled with a guided missile, with confirmation that its crew fell casualty between dead and wounded. 

Moreover, the Islamic Resistance fighters targeted a grouping of Israeli soldiers on the southwestern outskirts of Chamaa using artillery shells.

Operations overview

- At 23:15 on Saturday, Islamic Resistance fighters ambushed advancing Israeli soldiers on the eastern outskirts of the town of Chamaa. Upon reaching the ambush point, the fighters engaged them with machine guns and rocket-propelled grenades at close range, resulting in confirmed injuries among the Israeli forces.

- At 06:00, Islamic Resistance fighters targeted the Ma'ale Golani barracks (Hermon Brigade 810 headquarters) with a barrage of rockets.

- At 06:30, Islamic Resistance fighters targeted a grouping of Israeli soldiers on the southern outskirts of the town of Khiam with a rocket barrage.

- At 10:15, Islamic Resistance fighters targeted the Krayot area north of the occupied city of Haifa with a rocket barrage.

- At 11:15, Islamic Resistance fighters targeted a grouping of Israeli soldiers on the southwestern outskirts of the town of Chamaa with artillery shells.

- At 14:00, Islamic Resistance fighters targeted a grouping of Israeli soldiers on the eastern outskirts of the town of al-Khiam with a rocket barrage.

- At 14:30, Islamic Resistance fighters targeted a grouping of Israeli soldiers at the Ramim Barracks with a rocket barrage. 

- At 16:30, Islamic Resistance fighters targeted the Ma'alot Tarshiha settlement with a barrage of rockets.

- At 17:30, Islamic Resistance fighters targeted a grouping of Israeli soldiers south of the town of al-Khiam for the second time with a rocket barrage. 

- At 18:00, the Islamic Resistance targeted a grouping of Israeli soldiers south of the town of al-Khiam for the third time with a rocket barrage. 

- At 18:00, Hezbollah targeted a grouping of Israeli soldiers south of the town of al-Khiam for the fourth time with a rocket barrage. 

- At 18:45, Hezbollah fighters targeted a grouping of Israeli soldiers south of the town of al-Khiam for the fifth time with a barrage of rockets. 

- At 20:30, Hezbollah fighters targeted a grouping of Israeli soldiers south of the town of al-Khiam for the sixth time with a barrage of rockets. 

- At 21:40, Hezbollah targeted a Merkava tank at the Tayr Harfa-Jebin triangle with a guided missile, resulting in its destruction and causing casualties among its crew, both killed and wounded.

- At 21:45, Islamic Resistance fighters targeted a grouping of Israeli soldiers south of the town of al-Khiam for the seventh time with a barrage of rockets.

- At 22:00, Islamic Resistance fighters targeted a grouping of Israeli soldiers east of the town of al-Khiam for the second time with a barrage of rockets.

- At 22:05, Islamic Resistance fighters targeted a grouping of Israeli soldiers south of the town of al-Khiam for the eighth time with a barrage of rockets. 

60 days of Operation People of Might

Hezbollah published a summary of two months of its military campaign against the Israeli occupation, dubbed Operation People of Might, since September 17, 2024.

In his inaugural address as Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sheikh Naim Qassem announced that this war with "Israel" has been named Operation People of Might. 

Sheikh Qassem declared that his work program would be a continuation of Sayyed Nasrallah's work agenda across all fields—political, jihadi, social, and cultural.

He reiterated the stance of martyr Sayyed Nasrallah, saying, "We do not seek war, but if imposed on us, we are prepared to triumph and will face it with dignity," adding, "As our leader said, we lie in wait for the battle."

People of Might overview

Hezbollah reported conducting 1,349 military operations over the 60-day period, averaging 22 operations daily. These strikes targeted a wide range of strategic locations across Israel:

  • 456 settlements
  • 361 military sites
  • 164 military bases
  • 127 border sites
  • 101 military barracks
  • 58 occupied cities
  • 29 UAVs and fighter jets

Hezbollah forces also reported intercepting 25 advancing Israeli units and repelling 28 infiltration attempts into Lebanon.

Israeli losses

According to Hezbollah's data, the sustained operations resulted in significant losses for the Israeli occupation:

  • 100+ Israeli soldiers killed
  • 1,000+ wounded
  • 61 military vehicles destroyed
  • 53 command centers struck
  • 30 artillery positions destroyed
  • 17 military factories and companies damaged
  • 11 training camps, 10 airbases, and 7 UAVs disabled
  • 4 weapons depots, 4 fortifications, and 2 settlement units hit
  • Damage to 2 pieces of technical equipment, 1 military workshop, and 1 checkpoint

Weaponry utilized

Throughout the campaign, Hezbollah forces employed a diverse array of weaponry, including:

  • 1,047 rockets
  • 84 artillery rounds
  • 124 aerial attacks
  • 65 guided missiles
  • 29 air defense missiles
  • 12 sniper and machine gun units
  • 10 combat engineering systems

Impact beyond enemy lines

The campaign resulted in substantial settler displacement and evacuations in occupied Palestine:

  • 100+ settlements within a 30-kilometer radius of the Lebanese border were evacuated
  • Hezbollah struck targets up to 150 kilometers inside occupied Palestinian territory
