Israeli media: Hezbollah achieving its goals, disrupting Gaza invasion
The Israeli occupation underlines that Hezbollah's intensifying operations are affecting its focus and even its plans to conduct a ground invasion in Gaza.
Israeli media outlets have been discussing for weeks Hezbollah's strategy of disruption and keeping the Israeli occupation forces busy at the Palestinian-Lebanese border area, underlining that it has "achieved what it wants."
"Hezbollah has achieved what it wanted because it repeatedly targets Israeli leaders and the army with attacks in the border area, and every day the intensity increases," Walla! military affairs analyst Amir Bohbot said.
"This distracts the army's focus and forces it to deploy additional troops," he explained. It also "creates awareness of solidarity with the Palestinians, conveys a regional message, and perhaps above all, contributes to preventing or reducing ground maneuvers."
Earlier in the day, three Israeli soldiers were killed while four others were injured in Hezbollah's attack on an infantry force positioned near the "Branit" Barracks, sources told Al Mayadeen.
The Lebanese Resistance party announced that it had targeted an infantry force near the barracks after Israeli occupation forces (IOF) assaulted journalists in South Lebanon near the al-Aabad military site on Thursday.
The IOF also prevented emergency services and UN peacekeeping forces from assisting an injured civilian in the area. Abdullah Rabih al-Bekaai died as a result of the IOF's blatant crime as he was left to bleed out for several hours before emergency services were able to rescue him.
Hezbollah said that it targeted the occupation force with guided missiles, confirming that several members of the force were injured and killed as a result of the attack.
An Israeli Apache attack helicopter combed nearby areas in Lebanese territories, while gunfire and heavy artillery shelling were heard in the area, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported.
Israeli military sites were targeted via guided missiles in the occupied Shebaa Farms as well as two Israeli sites in the occupied Kfar Chouba Hills, according to our correspondent.

Moreover, Al Mayadeen's correspondent in southern Lebanon reported that the Israeli occupation forces are implementing exceptional measures in the border areas while warning sirens sounded at the UNIFIL headquarters in Naqoura, southern Lebanon.
Al Mayadeen correspondent reported that Israeli forces have been shelling the outskirts of Kafr Chouba, the Shebaa farms, and around the barbed wire fence in Wadi Hunin.
Skirmishes have intensified in occupied Lebanese territories and at the Lebanese-Palestinian border. Hezbollah has launched several attacks alongside other resistance factions targeting Israeli military and intelligence sites. Most of the attacks focused on targeting Israeli intelligence and surveillance equipment while others targeted infantry forces and armored vehicles.
