Hezbollah's 1000th operation in support of Palestine; footage released
Hezbollah has attacked an Israeli military training camp in the occupied Syrian Golan with at least 30 rockets, many of which impacted their targets.
The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon - Hezbollah concluded Friday's attacks against the Israeli occupation by launching its 1,000th operation in support of the Palestinian people and their Resistance.
Footage released on Saturday morning revealed more information on Hezbollah's eighth operation on February 9, 2024, in which the group's Military Media explained that Resistance fighters launched "Katyusha" rocket-artillery shells at the "Kela" Barracks in the Israeli-occupied Syrian Golan.
The video, titled "Operation number 1000 for the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon against the Israeli enemy in support of the Palestinian people and their steadfast Resistance in the Battel of Al-Aqsa Flood," shows the moment Hezbollah fighters loaded a multiple rocket launcher (MRL) with multiple shells, in preparation for the operation.
The video shows 30 rockets launched toward their intended target, in what Israeli media described as the largest rocket barrage since the 2006 war on Lebanon.
On Friday, Hezbollah said it launched the attack at the "Kela" Base at exactly 5:50 pm (local time), using dozens of "Katyusha" rockets. Hezbollah has improved on the Soviet-developed weapons system, where one system can carry at least 30 rockets as shown in the video.

What is the Israeli "Kela" Base?
The Israeli "Kela" Base houses barracks and a training camp for Israeli occupation soldiers. The 91st Division of the IOF commands the base, which is equipped with several anti-air systems deployed to protect occupation troops at the base or who are conducting training exercises.
The base is located around 16 km away from the closest liberated Lebanese point from the east and 14 km away from the closest liberated Lebanese point from the north.
Yesterday's attack marked the first Hezbollah attack on the base since the group launched its military campaign in support of Palestine on October 8.
Several rockets were seen impacting the site in a video circulated on social media, as Israeli occupation anti-air systems launched multiple interceptors that failed to thwart the barrage. One rocket seems to fall in extremely close proximity to an anti-air missile launcher positioned at the base.

Hezbollah destroys Israeli Merkava tank
Among the eight other operations launched by the Resistance on Friday was an anti-tank guided missile attack that targeted an Israeli Merkava tank, seemingly parked at al-Baghdadi military site in al-Jalil Panhandle, opposite the Lebanese town of Mays al-Jabal.
The newly released video highlights the process of a precise anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) attack that targeted a Merkava tank, seemingly parked at the Israeli al-Baghdadi military site. The footage recorded by a Television camera installed on the ATGM showcases the operator and system's precision in aiming, targeting, and executing the destruction of the military target.
This type of guidance system has been used in at least two other operations conducted by the Resistance since January 2024. Previously, the Resistance used the guidance system to target Israeli spyware and hardware in two sites.
Dated to February 9, 2024, the footage corresponds to an announcement made by the Islamic Resistance's military media, in which it was revealed that Hezbollah fighters targeted and destroyed an Israeli Merkava tank in al-Baghdadi military site.
The footage is provided in the video below.
