Hezbollah yet to respond to Arouri assassination in full: Sources
Sources tell Al Mayadeen that Hezbollah has not yet fully responded to the assassination of top Hamas commander Saleh al-Arouri despite numerous operations taking place since.
The Israeli occupation claimed that the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon - Hezbollah had attacked the Israeli Northern Command as part of their retaliation for the assassination of Hamas deputy leader Saleh al-Arouri.
People familiar with the matter, however, told Al Mayadeen that the attack on the Israeli Northern Command HQ was not the final act of retaliation for al-Arouri's assassination.
Instead, the sources said, Hezbollah's operation was connected to the attack launched on the Israeli "Meron" air traffic control and intelligence base in northern occupied Palestine.
The base, which was struck early Saturday with 62 missiles and rockets, is considered the occupation entity's most sensitive and critical headquarters in northern occupied Palestine.
It is responsible for commanding, coordinating, and organizing all aerial operations toward Syria, Lebanon, Turkey, Cyprus, and the northern part of the Eastern Mediterranean basin.
This includes cyber warfare, spying, and operating Israeli air and drone strikes. Additionally, it hosts top Israeli generals, elite units, and highly specialized officers.
The footage depicts precise hits on multiple locations within "Meron".
Hezbollah said that the operation is an "initial response" to the Israeli assassination of Saleh al-Arouri, the Deputy Chief of the Political Bureau of Hamas, and his companions earlier this week in a strike on the southern suburbs of Beirut.
The Resistance group's chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah vowed on Friday that a response is inevitably coming, noting that an operation was green-lighted - without providing details - and is now up to battle commanders and fighters to carry it out when field conditions allow.
Commenting on the targeting of the "Meron" Base, Israeli media described it as only a "trailer" of what would happen if the party's "multidimensional threats expand."
"The heavy salvo this morning is a trailer of the war situation, during which Hezbollah elements will launch thousands of rockets, focusing on strategic and sensitive locations, such as national infrastructure, military bases, and symbols of authority," Wallah! Israeli news outlet said.
Moreover, the sources denied the news about the killing of the Resistance fighters that targeted the Israeli northern command headquarters in Safad.
The sources also denied the Israeli claims about the assassination of the commander of Hezbollah's Air Force after a strike earlier in the day in southern Lebanon allegedly killed a Hezbollah top commander.
The sources also denied the reports saying the resistance fighters who attacked the Israeli northern command headquarters in Safad were martyred, indicating that the Israelis deliberately spread misleading news and rumors immediately after carrying out any attack.
