Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi sent a message to Hezbollah's Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, expressing his condolences for the martyrdom of martyred leader Ibrahim Aqil and several of his fellow freedom fighters.

Araghchi emphasized his duty to serve as the voice of the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples at the United Nations General Assembly, condemning the crimes of the Zionist entity, which has begun to commit some of the most heinous acts of terrorism and genocide during its recent assaults.

He added that the occupation "has once again demonstrated its disregard for any moral or legal standards, pursuing its malicious goals even at the cost of jeopardizing the security of the region and the world."

Araghchi stressed that the struggle and resistance until the liberation of the Palestinian people from the occupation will continue with greater strength, pointing out that "this is thanks to the sacrifices of the Resistance fighters of the Resistance Front in Palestine and Lebanon and throughout the region."

'Israel's' latest attack on Lebanon

The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon - Hezbollah announced, "with utmost pride and honor, the martyrdom of its senior commander Hajj Ibrahim Aqil "Abdul Qader" and a group of his comrades" in the Israeli assassination and aggression targeting Beirut's Southern Suburb earlier on Friday, which has thus far killed 37 citizens, with many still reported missing and trapped under the rubble.

In a statement, Hezbollah praised its martyred commander and the "blessed life" he led, "filled with fight, work, wounds, sacrifices, risks, challenges, achievements, and victories." The statement further asserted that Martyr Ibrahim Aqil's greatest wish was to pray in the al-Aqsa Mosque and his greatest passion was al-Quds, Palestine.

Hezbollah pledged to remain steadfast and loyal to its martyred leader's goals, hopes, and path until victory is achieved.

The strike on the Southern Suburb of Beirut on Friday and the intense raids on Thursday, come after the Israeli regime commissioned a wide-scale terror attack on Lebanon, detonating thousands of wireless communication devices.

In two separate wide-scale attacks that occurred on Tuesday and Wednesday, the Israeli regime detonated thousands of pagers and walkie-talkie wireless communication devices on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively. As a result of these attacks, over 37 were martyred and 3,200 were injured, with the toll expected to rise due to the severity of hundreds of injuries.
