If you attack us, you'll be on the verge of collapse, demise: Ghalibaf
Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi affirms that no messages were exchanged between Iran and the US prior to the operation.
The Speaker of the Iranian Shura Council Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf affirmed that Iran's armed forces are fully prepared to confront "any reckless actions" that may be taken by "Israel" in response to Tuesday’s missile strikes targeting military sites in Tel Aviv and other key areas across occupied Palestine.
He emphasized that Iran is braced for "every extreme scenario" and stands ready for escalation if necessary.
During a public session of parliament on Wednesday morning, Ghalibaf issued a stark warning to the Israeli government and military, declaring, "Our armed forces have developed a surprise strategy for our adversaries, and our forthcoming response will be on an entirely different scale."
He further asserted that "if the Zionist entity attempts to launch an attack on Iran, it will swiftly face obliteration and collapse."
Ghalibaf stated that yesterday's operation "struck fear into the oppressors, leaving them trembling," asserting it demonstrated their reliance on airstrikes and terrorist tactics for power. He advised the United States to "tighten the leash on its rabid dog [Israel] to prevent it from harming itself and creating trouble for its master."
The head of the Iranian Shura Council expressed solidarity with the Resistance fighters on the Gaza and Lebanese fronts, declaring, "We will stand with you until the liberation of holy al-Quds."
Ghalibaf's statement aligns with previous declarations made by Iranian political and military leaders following Operation True Promise 2, during which they cautioned "Israel" about the potential repercussions of any aggression against Iran.
Iran says 'no exchange' of messages with US before Operation True Promise-2
Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated on Wednesday that there was "no exchange" of communications with the United States before Iran launched the operation.
"Before the attack, there was no exchange of messages," Araghchi told state TV, adding that Iran communicated with the US after the operation through the Swiss embassy in Tehran.
"The main point of the message we conveyed to the Americans was that we were taking defensive action within the framework of the United Nations Charter," he said, adding, "We have also warned the US forces to withdraw from this matter and not to intervene, otherwise they will face a harsh response from us."
The IRGC said the missile attacks targeted "three military bases" around Tel Aviv, as well as air and radar bases, adding that "90 percent" of the missiles "hit their targets."
On Tuesday night, dozens of missiles hit their designated target, with reports indicating that over 400 missiles and projectiles had been launched from Iran toward the occupied Palestinian territories.
The IRGC released a statement following the launch of the response, saying, "We have targeted the heart of the occupied territories in response to the assassination of martyrs Haniyeh, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, and Nilforooshian."
The statement further said, warning "Israel", "If the Zionist regime retaliates to the Iranian operation, it will face violent consequences."
