Palestinians held a funeral procession for the martyred Palestinian Islamic Jihad Commander Ali Hassan Ghali, who was assassinated at Thursday dawn by Israeli occupation forces in an air aggression on his apartment in a residential building in Hamad town, Khan Yunis.

A senior Islamic Jihad official told Al Mayadeen, "Our fighters will prove that" the operations of "Al-Quds Brigades will not be affected by the assassination of the leaders."

The martyred leader was a member of the group's military council and the head of the brigades' missile unit. Ghali was the fourth senior PIJ official to get assassinated in 48 hours.

Al-Quds brigades also mourned the martyr's brother, Mahmoud Ghali, and nephew, Mohammad Abdul Jawad, who were present with him when the occupation launched their strike.

"The Zionist occupation continues to target people safe in their homes and apartments with American-manufactured missiles," the source added, confirming that "the martyrdom of the brother leader Ali Ghali will not stop the rocket fire, and Al-Quds Brigades is able to expand and increase the array of fire."

The Israeli occupation continues its heinous aggression against the Gaza Strip for the third day in a row, while the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that the number of Palestinians martyred, as a result, has risen to 25, in addition to more than 70 injuries.

The Palestinian Resistance renewed its rocket fire toward the occupied Palestinian territories. Al Mayadeen correspondent reported that successive salvoes of rockets were fired from Gaza on Thursday, as warning sirens sounded in the Gaza envelope settlements.
