This comes in light of recent reports by human rights organizations, including Human Rights Watch, that indicate that "Israel" has used white phosphorus in Gaza and Lebanon amid escalations.
In a Q&A article about white phosphorus, Human Rights Watch expressed concerns about the Israeli occupation's use of phosphorus in military operations in Gaza and Lebanon, highlighting the serious and long-term risks it poses to civilians.
Human Rights Watch substantiated these claims with video evidence from Lebanon and Gaza, depicting multiple airbursts of artillery-fired white phosphorus over the Gaza City port and two rural locations along the occupied Palestine-Lebanon border.
IOF Spokesperson Peter Lerner later denied the HRW report in an interview with CNN last Friday, saying that "Israel" did not use white phosphorus in Gaza and Lebanon.
The following day, Amnesty International presented compelling evidence contradicting the IOF's denial of using white phosphorus during recent aggressions.

Last Tuesday, the Palestinian Foreign Ministry accused the IOF of employing white phosphorus ammunition. UN spokesperson Stephane Dujarric later stated that the organization did not know of any reports regarding the potential use of such weaponry by "Israel."
