IOF detain freed prisoner Hisham Abu Hawash during West Bank raids
Al Mayadeen's correspondent says the Israeli occupation forces detained about 20 Palestinian citizens, most of whom are freed prisoners, from al-Khalil.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent in the occupied West Bank confirmed that a Palestinian was martyred by Israeli occupation forces' gunfire in the al-Amari camp.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health identified the martyr as 16-year-old Mustafa Abu Shalbak and mentioned that he had been shot in the neck and chest.
Israeli occupation forces detained early Monday freed Palestinian prisoner Hisham Abu Hawash after storming his house in the town of Dura, south of al-Khalil in the occupied West Bank, local media reported.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent mentioned that the Israeli occupation forces detained about 20 Palestinian citizens, most of whom are freed prisoners, from al-Khalil.
Abu Hawash snatched his freedom last year after going on a heroic 141-day hunger strike in protest against his arbitrary administrative detention in Israeli occupation prisons, which allows the indefinite imprisonment of Palestinians without trial or charge.
The Palestinian Resistance factions had warned the Israeli occupation of repercussions if anything happened to Abu Hawash.
Back then, Abu Hawash's health condition was deteriorating severely and he was inching closer to death. He was in an intermittent coma and suffered from weak eyesight and inability to speak, in addition to heart problems and muscle atrophy.
Israeli media considered Abu Hawash's release a victory for the Palestinian Resistance following threats from Gaza to take military action in the event he had lost his life.
Earlier, Israeli occupation forces raided several towns and villages in the occupied West Bank and carried out a campaign of arrests against Palestinian citizens, leading to confrontations with Resistance fighters.
The occupation forces raided the town of Azzoun east of Qalqilya in the West Bank. Al-Aqssa Martyrs Brigades confirmed that its Resistance fighters engaged Israeli forces during their incursion into Qalqilya with intense gunfire.
Al Mayadeen's sources in the occupied West Bank mentioned that large forces of the Israeli occupation military raided the city of Tulkarm accompanied by military bulldozers, and destroyed the civilian infrastructure in the Nur Shams refugee camp in the city, while Palestinian Resistance fighters confronted them.
