IOF detained 11,200 Palestinians in West Bank since Oct. 7 last year
The Israeli occupation continues its policy of destruction across the West Bank by targeting civilian infrastructure alongside its policy of arrest campaigns aimed at terrorizing Palestinians throughout the governorates.
Israeli occupation forces have detained at least 25 Palestinians across the West Bank in 24 hours, including a journalist and several former detainees.
In a joint statement by the Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) and the Commission for Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs, it was noted that the detention campaigns included Palestinians from across the governorates of al-Khalil, Qalqilya, Jenin, Ramallah, Nablus, Tulkarm, Tubas, and Beit Lahm.
The statement further emphasized that the Israeli occupation continues to carry out widespread raids and acts of violence, including issuing threats to detainees and their families, as well as causing damage to civilian homes and infrastructure.
Since the beginning of the Israeli occupation's genocidal war against Palestinians a year ago, over 11,200 Palestinians have been detained from the West Bank, including al-Quds.
Oct 7 took us from humiliation to dignity: Palestinian demonstrator
Yesterday, Palestinians gathered in Ramallah, in the occupied West Bank, in remembrance of Operation al-Aqsa Flood, which was executed a year ago, on October 7, 2023.
Waving the flags of the Islamic Resistance Movement - Hamas, Hezbollah, Yemen, and Iraq, and carrying portraits of the great Resistance leader, martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, Palestinians marched in Ramallah, the administrative capital of the occupied territory.
Under the slogan “We will not lose faith in the revolution,” Palestinians from different political factions reaffirmed their support for the Resistance on Monday.
Demonstrators also chanted “salute from Ramallah to Hezbollah fighters” in a show of cross-border solidarity between the Palestinian and Lebanese people.
"We came to remember our martyrs, wish recovery for our wounded, and congratulate the Resistance, whether Palestinian, Lebanese, Iraqi, or Yemeni, for their struggles over the past year," Jamila Johar told AFP.
"We came to raise our voices and say that the Palestinian struggle continues and that the 7th of October took us from a phase of humiliation to a phase of dignity and pride," another demonstrator expressed.
Despite policies of “maximum pressure” employed by the Israeli regime against Palestinians in occupied territories, Palestinians continue to show support to their compatriots in the Gaza Strip.
