IOF disclose number of commanders killed in Gaza since October 7
The Israeli army is facing considerable challenges in filling leadership positions as it grapples with the loss of numerous commanders, as per Israeli media reports.
Israeli media reported, on Thursday, that newly released figures show that dozens of brigade commanders, platoon commanders, and company commanders have been killed in battles in Gaza since October 7.
The data provided by Israeli media indicated that casualties included four brigade commanders, six deputy commanders, 39 platoon commanders, 13 company commanders, and two operations officers.
Israeli media also highlighted that seven additional reserve commanders are among the losses, emphasizing that the Israeli army is making strained efforts to fill leadership positions.
This comes shortly after IOF Chief of Staff Gen. Herzi Halevi affirmed that the Israeli army " paid a high price in the war on Gaza and lost commanders and fighters."
It is worth noting that the numbers given by "Israel" are vastly undercounted, as "Israel" has a long-established policy of not declaring its actual losses.
