Israeli occupation forces raided Wednesday dawn Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Al-Quds and assaulted the Palestinians who are stationed there as part of the religious practice of Itikaf, which is one of the acts of worship during the holy month of Ramadan.

Al Mayadeen correspondent reported from inside Al-Aqsa Mosque that settlers began storming the mosque this morning, Wednesday.

Concurrently with the incursion, Al Mayadeen correspondent reported that Palestinians chanted slogans against the attacks orchestrated by settler groups.

This comes as Israeli occupation forces expelled at Wednesday dawn Palestinian worshippers from the sacred mosque and Al-Qibli prayer hall to secure the settlers' raid.

In light of the raid, dozens of Palestinians were injured amid calls to confront the brutal Israeli attack.

Israeli forces fired bullets and tear gas bombs at Palestinians, not even sparing women, brutally assaulting them with batons and guns.

Our correspondent also reported earlier that Israeli occupation forces threatened those stationed inside Al-Qibli prayer hall in Al-Aqsa Mosque, but they insist on staying inside their blessed mosque and defending it.

This wave of aggression comes after the Israeli occupation forces raided the Al-Aqsa mosque on Sunday, intending to expel Palestinian worshippers from the sacred mosque and its Al-Qibli prayer hall. However, the Palestinians stationed inside the hall locked the doors from the inside and prevented the IOF from entering.

Moreover, an Israeli Zionist group that goes by the name "Return to Temple Mount" has offered monetary rewards to anyone that succeeds in sacrificing animals inside the sacred Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The settler's intention, under the pretense of a "Passover Sacrifice", is to desecrate the mosque during the most sacred month in Islam, impose a supposed Zionist identity upon Al-Aqsa, and consequently threaten the identity of the eternal Arab capital of Palestine, Al-Quds.

Last year, in the early days of the holy month of Ramadan, dozens of settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Al-Quds under the protection of Israeli occupation forces.

IOF raid Al-Aqsa Mosque, Resistance responds from Gaza

In the early hours of Wednesday, following the Israeli acts of aggression, the Palestinian Resistance responded from Gaza, launching two salvoes of rockets toward the Palestinian territories occupied in 1948, with reports saying that several rockets hit Israeli military targets.

Explosions were heard in the Israeli settlement of "Sderot" in the Gaza envelope, Israeli media reported.

Al Mayadeen correspondent in Gaza reported on Wednesday that the Israeli occupation carried out air aggression at dawn targeting several Resistance sites.

The war jets bombed the Abu Jrad site south of the Strip, the Badr site in its west, and the west of Al-Nuseirat camp.

Israeli occupation forces also bombed a site east of Al-Fukhari in Khan Yunis in the southern Strip, in addition to a field control point in Beit Lahia in the northern Strip by the occupation's artillery.

According to our correspondent in Gaza, the Israeli aggression on Resistance sites in the Strip did not result in any casualties.

In turn, Israeli media said sirens were sounded in the "Maboim" occupation settlement in the Gaza envelope.

Al Mayadeen correspondent also added that the Israeli occupation military is on high alert on all fronts and borders, declaring it "a sensitive and dangerous day" and calling on all settlers of the Gaza envelope settlements to stay in shelters.

Israeli media also reported that 10 rockets were fired last night and this morning from the Gaza Strip at the Gaza envelope settlements.
