Israeli occupation forces stormed on Monday morning large areas of the Tubas governorate in the West Bank, including the city of Tubas and the town of Aqaba, imposing a curfew until further notice.
Israeli occupation forces were deployed throughout the streets of the city and the town of Aqaba, raided several homes and turned them into military barracks, while military bulldozers began closing roads and cutting off the governorate’s access points.
Meanwhile, the renewed aggression and curfew brought the educational process and the work of all institutions in the Tubas governorate to a halt.
In a related development, three Palestinian civilians were injured on Sunday evening after Israeli soldiers assaulted them at the Tayasir military checkpoint, east of Tubas.
Today’s raid on Tubas comes just two days after the occupation forces ended a four-day offensive that left extensive destruction of public and private property, in addition to hundreds of injuries, arrests, and raids on citizens’ homes.
A new report by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (#UNCTAD) concluded that the economic crisis in the occupied Palestinian territories, stemming from Israeli aggression since 2023, ranks among the ten worst crises the world has witnessed since 1960.

Escalation unabated
"Israel’s" escalating crimes across the West Bank, from repeated raids, home invasions, and curfews to systematic assaults on civilians, reveal a sustained campaign of repression designed to fragment Palestinian communities and crush daily life.
Through widespread detainments, destruction of infrastructure, and the militarization of entire towns, the occupation entrenches a climate of fear while eroding every aspect of Palestinian civil existence.
These ongoing acts of aggression form part of a broader strategy to tighten control, weaken social resilience, and silence resistance across the occupied territory.
