IOF storm Kamal Adwan Hospital, commit massacre in Beit Lahia
The Israeli occupation stormed Kamal Adwan Hospital, taking all those on its grounds captive while forcing women and children to march toward the Indonesian Hospital.
A thousand Palestinians were killed over the past 20 days during "Israel's" ongoing and unrelenting siege and extermination of north Gaza, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported.
Just today, the occupation committed a massacre by bombarding civilian homes in Beit Lahia on Friday, killing 20 civilians and injuring several more.
Israeli occupation forces reportedly stormed Kamal Adwan Hospital despite its protection through international charters and promises from international delegations that they would not storm it. The IOF then rounded up all those on hospital grounds, including medical staff and injured patients, separating the men from the women and children and forcing the latter two to march toward the Indonesian Hospital.
Additionally, the IOF bombed the main oxygen station in Kamal Adwan, resulting in severe damage and putting it out of service, which only exacerbates the already deteriorating healthcare system.
On his part, the director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, reported shattered windows in some patients' rooms as a result of the Israeli bombardment. He also stressed that over 150 patients and medical personnel were besieged by the Israeli occupation forces inside the hospital.
On Thursday, the IOF besieged the hospital and began relentlessly shelling its buildings, as injured children were getting treated. It is worth noting that over 15 critical cases are attempting to get treatment in the hospital but cannot due to the Israeli siege, which has been blocking life-saving aid from entering its grounds.
In a related context, the Health Ministry in Gaza also described the state in the hospital as "catastrophic", reporting that hundreds of patients, medical staffers, and displaced civilians were trapped and besieged by the IOF who blocked the entry of food, medicine, water, fuel, and all necessities that could save lives.
'A final call to the world'
On his part, the Director of Civil Defense in Gaza, Mahmoud Basal, issued a "final call to the world" via Al Mayadeen, stating, "We are being slaughtered from ear to ear," noting that "the occupation has completely besieged the hospitals after medical services have come to end, leaving the citizens here with no option but death."
Basal called for an end to "the massacres against doctors, nurses, and civilians, or else we will be talking about thousands of martyrs who will fall in this war of extermination."
Decrying the frightening situation, residents from the northern Gaza Strip made an appeal, calling on the world to "stand with us and show solidarity with us on the Friday of Rage... We are being killed and starved to death."
Earlier, Basal told Al Mayadeen that the Civil Defense crews are "receiving many appeals from those trapped under the rubble in Jabalia," stressing that "real action is required from international organizations" to resolve the issue.
"Our teams are suffering from siege, starvation, extermination, and the destruction of all necessities," the official added.
Basal affirmed that what is happening in northern Gaza is genocide and ethnic cleansing aimed at eradicating all means of life. He noted that 85 emergency workers were killed and 290 were injured as a result of direct Israeli attacks.
He also warned that fuel shortages could force emergency workers to halt their work in the area.
"Our teams are also suffering from hunger, as most of us have not tasted food for days; how can we continue to work?"
"Can you imagine the consequences if our services for the citizens in northern Gaza [were halted]?"
