IOF strike on Gaza UNRWA-run school exposed West's dark side: Kanaani
The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson says the US and certain European governments have lost not only the war but also their moral standing and human dignity.
The Israeli strike on a school run by the UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNWA) in Gaza once again exposed the West's dark and concealed nature to the world, indicated Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Nasser Kanaani, on Monday.
The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip confirmed that 22 Palestinians were killed and 102 were injured in the latest massacre carried out by the Israeli occupation forces against displaced people in the Abu Araban school in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza on Sunday.
"The kid-killer Zionist regime’s strike on the UNRWA-run school in Gaza once again illustrated to the world the dark and hidden side of the claimant West," Kanaani posted on X.

A humanitarian approach based on international law cannot be expected from an "illegitimate regime" that began its existence with occupation, massacre, assassination, the killing of women and children, and the destruction of Palestinian homes, stressed the Iranian diplomat.
He pointed to the "sad reality" of the silence and inaction from Western and European governments, which claim to uphold ethics, law, and human rights.
Kanaani also accused these governments of "deceiving public opinion and playing with words and phrases."
The Iranian spokesperson underlined that the US and certain European governments supporting the Israeli occupation entity are the losers in the war against Gaza, adding that they have lost not only the war but also their moral standing and human dignity.
The Israeli strike on the Abu Araban school marked the fifth on a school-turned-shelter in just eight days.
On July 6, Israeli aircraft hit the al-Jaouni school, also run by UNRWA. The following day, four Palestinians were killed in an Israeli strike on the church-run Holy Family school in Gaza City, in the North, according to the Gaza Civil Defense.
On Monday, the Israeli occupation forces hit another school in the Nuseirat. The next day, at least 27 people were killed in an Israeli strike at the entrance to the al-Awda school in the Khan Younis area, southern Gaza.
