Iran condemns the Israeli aggression against Damascus
Tehran denounces the Israeli attack on Damascus and calls the Western nations' silence on the violation of Syria's sovereignty "shameful."
The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned on Sunday the Israeli aggression against Damascus, which led to the death and injury of Syrian citizens, calling on the international community to take immediate and serious action against the Israeli attacks.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry confirmed that the Zionist entity's successive attacks and ISIS' attack on the Syrian people demonstrate the similarities between both parties.
The Ministry noted that both the Occupation and ISIS are adding to the pain of the Syrian people amid the catastrophic aftermath of the recent earthquake, adding that the silence of Western countries over the ongoing violation of Syria's sovereignty is "shameful and disgraceful."
Syrian official television announced on Saturday evening that Syrian air defenses responded to Israeli aggression over Damascus. Al Mayadeen's correspondent in Damascus reported hearing explosions over the Syrian capital.
