Iran defeated all enemy schemes against country: IRGC chief
The commander of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps says the adversary's policies, military assaults, and proxy warfare against Iran have all failed.
Major General Hossein Salami, the commander of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), pointed on Wednesday to the failure of all hostile schemes against Iran during the last four decades.
"Over the past 45 years, we have defeated almost all of the enemies’ strategies and destructive and dangerous policies," Salami highlighted at a gathering of the country’s cyberspace activists.
He emphasized that the adversary's policies, military assaults, and proxy warfare against Iran have all failed.
The IRGC Commander went on to say that the conflicts in Afghanistan, Syria, Lebanon, and Iraq have shown that the military option no longer stands as a solution for enemies.
Salami indicated that the enemies can no longer threaten Iran with a military option or economic sanctions since they have imposed full-fledged embargoes on the country, but they have only resulted in Tehran's incredible progress in various fields of technology and innovation.
According to Salami, the adversaries' intentions to isolate Iran have also failed since everyone can witness the country's wide political and economic relations with nations ranging from the Far East to Africa and Latin America.
"You can also see Iran’s influence in (organizations like) BRICS and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization," he added.
Elsewhere, the IRGC commander said enemies wanted to destabilize Iran, but this scheme was defeated owing to the Iranian people's alertness and the guidance of Iranian leader Sayyed Ali Khamenei.
