Iran denies US claims on Red Sea talks
Iran highlights its stance against what it perceives as US attempts to distort facts and manipulate public opinion.
An Iranian informed source has dismissed recent reports from US media outlets regarding negotiations between Tehran and Washington on regional issues, including the Red Sea, IRNA reported.
The source labeled these reports as part of a psychological warfare aimed at distorting facts and manipulating public opinion, a tactic employed by the United States to mask its setbacks.
According to the same source, ongoing discussions between the two nations solely revolve around lifting sanctions on Iran.
Consistency in Iran's stances: A commitment to transparency
The source reiterated Iran's commitment to transparently conveying its positions, which aligns with Tehran's previous statements on the matter. These comments come in response to a claim made by the Financial Times, which alleged that secret talks had taken place between the United States and Iran this year to persuade Tehran to leverage its influence to halt operations in Yemen's Red Sea region.
Meanwhile, the Yemeni Armed Forces persist with their operations in the Red and Arabian Seas against Israeli and "Israel"-bound ships until the cessation of the aggression on the besieged Gaza Strip, as well as against American and British ships in response to the two countries' aggression on Yemen.
It is worth noting that Yemeni Armed Forces spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree stated that the military will continue its pro-Palestine maritime campaign as long as the Gaza aggression and blockade persist. He also vowed, on Tuesday, that the military operations of the YAF would escalate during the holy month of Ramadan in support of the oppressed Palestinian people and Resistance fighters in the besieged Gaza Strip.
