Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Saeed Khatibzadeh expressed Tehran’s concern about the “bitter incidents” in Afghanistan following multiple explosions in the country's various cities, a statement said on Thursday.
Khatibzadeh condemned the blind terrorist attacks that have targeted worshipers in mosques and described the terrorist actions against fasting Muslim worshippers as abhorrent.
Commenting on the recent explosion in Afghanistan’s northern city of Mazar-i-Sharif that resulted in killing and injuring dozens of innocent people, Khatibzadeh wished a fast recovery for the injured and voiced his sympathy for the victims of the attack.

Earlier in the capital, Kabul, a roadside bomb exploded, wounding two children.
Two days earlier, multiple explosions occurred in the same area targeting educational institutions and resulted in the killing of at least six people, mostly children, and the wounding of 17 others.
Mazar-i-Sharif mosque blast kills 40 people, injures more than 100
A blast in a mosque in Afghanistan’s Mazar-i-Sharif killed 40 people and injured more than 100 others on Thursday, Tolo News reported, citing local health authorities.
According to a local Taliban commander, an explosion inside a mosque in the northern Afghan city of Mazar-i-Sharif on Thursday killed or injured at least 20 people.
“A blast happened in 2nd district inside a Shi’ite mosque, more than 20 killed and injured,” Mohammad Asif Wazeri, the spokesperson for the Taliban commander in Mazar-i-Sharif, told Reuters.
Later on, a medical source told Sputnik that the death toll rose to 40, at least, and the injuries exceeded 100.
