Iran has no proxies in region: Sayyed Khamenei
In a statement made during a meeting with religious eulogists, the Leader of the Revolution and the Islamic Republic of Iran emphasized that the Resistance in the region remains strong, and the future of Syria rests in the hands of its youth.
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution and the Islamic Republic of Iran, Sayyed Ali Khamenei, stressed on Sunday that "those who repeat that Iran has lost its proxy forces are wrong because Iran does not have proxy forces in the first place," asserting that Iran does not need proxy forces.
Sayyed Khamenei pointed out during a meeting with religious eulogists, marking the birthday of Fatima Zahraa, the daughter of Prophet Mohammad, that "America's plan to impose its hegemony over a country is either to install a tyrannical regime that serves its interests or to create chaos," stressing that "America's plan in Syria is to spread chaos and riots."
He emphasized that Americans who claim they will support those causing chaos in Iran are "delusional and misguided fools," as the Iranian people will "crush anyone who chooses to become a mercenary for the United States."
The Iranian leader stated that viewing America, the Zionist entity, and their supporters as victors is nothing more than "delirium and empty rhetoric."
Sayyed Khamenei asked, "Where was your victory? Was it in Gaza by killing more than 40 thousand innocent people, by eliminating Hamas, or by liberating the prisoners from Gaza?"
He added, "The Zionist entity wanted to eliminate Hezbollah, but today Hezbollah is alive, the Palestinian Resistance is alive, Hamas is alive, and the Islamic Jihad movement is alive."
'Youth should shape a brighter Syria'
Sayyed Khamenei expressed his expectation that the events in Syria would give rise to a group of honorable and strong individuals, noting that the Syrian youth "have nothing to lose," as their universities, schools, homes, streets, and lives are no longer safe.
He urged the youth to confront and overcome those responsible for destabilizing their country, adding that "the future of the region will be brighter than its current reality."
It is important to note that the occupation government, following the announcement of the fall of the former Syrian regime, swiftly advanced into the occupied Syrian Golan Heights.
"Israel" expanded deep into the southern countryside of Damascus, along the border with Lebanon, and into the southern countryside of Quneitra, near the administrative borders of Daraa Governorate, while simultaneously taking full control of the Yarmouk Basin.
The occupation forces are now positioned just 15 km from the international road between Damascus and Beirut. Additionally, they have gained control over the key freshwater sources in southern Syria, located in the Yarmouk Basin.
