The leader of Iran's delegation to the UN says the crimes against the Palestinians go back to 75 years of neglect and not taking any initiative against the worst form of injustice in history.

The Permanent Representative of Iran to the United Nations in Geneva responded to accusations made by the Israeli Representative before the Human Rights Council against Iran.

During the 46th session of the UN Human Rights Council, currently being held in Geneva, Majid Takht-Ravanchi said that the truth is that a self-inflicted evil entity whose foundation depends entirely on occupation, massacres, terrorism, aggression, and bloodshed, by exploiting the position of the Human Rights Council to spread lies and hatred, is a prominent example of demonic malice.

He added that crimes were committed against Palestinians for more than seven decades, including repeated massacres, ethnic cleansing, systematic torture, murder, arbitrary arrests, and so on.

Ravanchi argued that these atrocities are a prominent example of war crimes and crimes against humanity, as per international laws which include the International Convention on the Suppression and Punishment of the Crime of Apartheid and the 1973 Statute of the International Court of Justice.

He stressed that only a system of apartheid can impose harsh measures on innocent children and initiate their arrest and imprisonment.

The Iranian diplomat considered that these ongoing crimes go back to 75 years of neglect and lack of initiative on the part of the international community in terms of standing up against the most hideous forms of injustice in history, pointing out that this situation has led this entity, in light of the support of some countries, especially the United States, to feel completely immune to the repercussions of its actions.

On Monday, Iran's Permanent Representative to the United Nations described Bennett’s speech on Iran as “full of lies,” dubbing the entire rhetoric “rampant Iran-phobia.”

Iran-phobia runs rampant at UN. The Israeli regime PM’s speech was full of lies on Iran. That regime is in no position to discuss our peaceful program when it has hundreds of nuclear warheads. And his silence on Palestine illustrates a determination to deprive Palestinian rights.

He added that Bennett's silence on Palestine proves his determination to take away the rights of the Palestinians.
