Iran's air defense shows 'absolute power' in defending region
The head of the Iranian Army's Air Defense Force says that Iran reached these heights because of the eight-year war with Iraq and the directives of Iran's leader.
According to a senior Iranian officer, Iran is the "absolute power" in the West Asian region for air defense forces.
The commander of the Iranian Army’s Air Defense Force, Brigadier General Alireza Sabahi-Fard, said on Wednesday, “It is an undeniable fact when we say that we are the absolute power of air defense in the region and have a say [in it] in the world”.
He went on to say that Iran's adversaries are well aware of the fact that the country is independent of all other nations and that all of its equipment is created and made by Iranian professionals.
He underlined that the eight-year war that Iraq inflicted on the nation in the 1980s and the Leader of the Islamic Revolution's directive that the nation must increase its power, both aided in the advancement of defense capabilities.
The Iranian Army's Air Defense Force is currently in the best possible shape to defend the nation, Sabahi-Fard reaffirmed.
The general advised enemies against making any miscalculations, warning them that the Iranian Army and Air Defense Force would definitely emerge victorious in any possible confrontation.
Last month, Sabahi-Fard announced plans to enhance Iran's air defense capabilities with the introduction of new radars and missile interceptors.
During a visit to the West Air Defense Zone and the NezamAli Maleki Air Defense Unit, Sabahifard assessed the combat readiness and operational capabilities of these units.
He discussed the critical role of the Air Defense Force in bolstering Iran's overall defense system and improving the country's military strength, praising the current state of regional security, and noting that Iran remains a safe and secure area.
