Iran's leader calls on nation to pray, assures country is in order
Sayyed Ali Khamenei says that "everyone should pray for the health and safety" of the Iranian president and his accompanying delegation.
Iran's leader Sayyed Ali Khamenei called on the Iranian nation on Sunday to pray for the safe return of President Ebrahim Raisi and his companions, including Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, whose fate remains unknown after their helicopter made an emergency landing while on their way back from an official visit in Azerbaijan.
Eveyone should pray for the health of these people who are serving the Iranian nation. The nation doesn't need to be worried or anxious as the administration of the country will not be disrupted at all.

Addressing the people of Iran, the leader assured, "Do not worry, there will be no disruption in the affairs of the country."
Earlier on Sunday, Raisi had arrived at Tabriz Airport to participate in the inauguration ceremony of the joint Qiz Qalasi dam on the Aras River, which borders Iran and Azerbaijan, in the presence of his Azerbaijani counterpart, Ilham Aliyev.
The convoy returning from the visit included three helicopters, two of which reached their destination in Iran safely.
Also on Raisi's flight were the representative of Iran's leader in Tabriz Mohammad Ali Ali Hashemi and the governor of East Azerbaijan Province Malik Rehmati.
On his part, Iranian Deputy President for Executive Affairs Mohsen Mansouri said that the last contact made with the president's helicopter was at 1:30 pm local time, but he confirmed that brief communication was established with two of the passengers, which indicates that the accident was probably of low severity.
Pilgrims visiting the shrine of Imam Reza in Iran’s northeastern city of Mashhad started a ceremony to pray for the health and safety of President Ebrahim Raisi and his accompanying delegation.
They recited prayers for the safety of President Raisi and other senior Iranian officials.
In the meantime, Iranians and supporters of the Iranian President continue to pray for his safety and the safety of the accompanying delegation.
