Iran seeks to bolster relations with African nations: Iran FM
The Iranian diplomat said that his country has placed a high priority to the bolstering of relations with African nations.
During a meeting with the Deputy Foreign Minister of Burkina Faso Issa Borro on Saturday in Tehran, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said that that the strengthening of diplomatic and economic relations with African countries is on Iran's agenda, MEHR news agency reported on Monday.
Speaking on matters pertaining to the latest developments in Iran and Burkina Faso's relations, the Iranian diplomat said that his country has placed a high priority on the bolstering of relations with African nations.
Both parties agreed that the joint comprehensive cooperation commission between the two countries will serve as a good opportunity to establish points of contact and cooperation in several fields pertaining to trade, scientific exchanges, and academic exchanges.

Issa Borro has for his part emphasized his country's readiness to expand ties with Iran in several fields, including economy-related matters, and said that Ouagadougou is planning to reopen an embassy in Tehran.
The Burkinabé diplomat also pointed out that Iran has made considerable advances in its engineering capabilities and stressed that solid foundations are provided to expand bilateral relations in all fields.
Borro is currently on a visit to Tehran with a team of high-ranking officials with the aim of strengthening relations between Iran and his country.
