Iran warns of Israeli recklessness, calls for Netanyahu’s removal
Iran’s UN mission warns of catastrophic global consequences from the Israeli occupation aggression during the US presidential transition.
Iran has warned of the dangers posed by what it described as the Israeli occupation's "recklessness", emphasizing its potential risks to the Arab region and the world during the US presidential transition.
In a post on X, Iran's mission to the United Nations stated, "Unrestrained Israeli attacks during the U.S. power transition could result in catastrophic global consequences."

The mission further asserted that "Israel" is "hell-bent on provoking a large-scale war across the region." It cautioned that if Israeli actions are not curbed during this transitional period, the "consequences will be catastrophic—not only for the Middle East but for the entire world."
The growing hatred among nations toward the Israeli occupation, according to the mission, stems from its continued crimes against Palestinians over the past 75 years, particularly in Gaza following Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, and its disregard for international and humanitarian laws.
The mission warned that by the insistence of Israeli leaders on the "expansion of war" and "directly dragging the United States into it, they are attempting to exploit the current political climate in the United States to pave the way for the formulation of a new crisis."
The mission accused Israeli occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his government of exploiting the current political climate in the United States to manufacture a new crisis. It stressed that "malevolent ambition, which will lead to further bloodshed, must not be allowed to materialize."
It argued that "without prosecuting and holding Netanyahu and his extremist, warmongering, and criminal cabinet accountable, security will not return to the region." Removing or restraining Netanyahu, the mission argued, "would lift the specter of war from the region."
The statement added that if Netanyahu is "dethroned", many issues would be resolved, as the following steps will follow:
1. A ceasefire will be established in Gaza, humanitarian aid will reach all areas of Gaza, and the killing of the people in Gaza—whether through bombardment, famine and starvation—will cease;
2. The war on Lebanon will end, UNIFIL will continue its mandate, and Resolution 1701 will be fully implemented;
3. Maritime security and tranquility will return to the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden;
4. With the cessation of the occupying regime’s adventurism, the shadow of war will be lifted from the countries of the region;
5. Hate speech against Jews and Muslims will cease, and the crimes of Zionism will no longer be attributed to the Jewish faith;
6. The political credibility of the U.S. government and the taxpayers’ money will no longer be further eroded in the course of supporting crimes against humanity; and
7. The hundreds of billions of dollars in war expenditures and the resulting damages will be redirected toward fostering growth and improving health, nutrition, and education for the people of the region.
Larijani in Lebanon: We seek solutions, Netanyahu stalls progress
Ali Larijani, senior advisor to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and the Islamic Republic of Iran, emphasized on Friday that Hezbollah is a strong and steadfast movement, and the Lebanese people are exceptional, reaffirming Iran's unwavering commitment to supporting the Lebanese Resistance.
Following a meeting with Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri in Beirut, Larijani stressed that while efforts are being made to resolve issues, it is Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu who is causing disruptions. He also highlighted the importance of distinguishing between allies and adversaries.
Larijani praised Berri for providing valuable insights during their discussions, underscoring that the main objective of his visit was to express Iran's steadfast support for Lebanon—its government, army, and Resistance—amid the ongoing aggression from the "criminal Zionist entity," and in all circumstances.
He reiterated that supporting Lebanon is a fundamental responsibility of the Iranian government, expressing hope for an improvement in the country's conditions soon. He also reaffirmed that the Islamic Republic would back any decision made by the Lebanese government and the Resistance.
