Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said, on Wednesday, that the country has conveyed its message to the United States via Europe regarding the Vienna Talks.
The remarks were made during a phone call with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu.
During the phone call, Amir-Abdollahian voiced hope that the US will take a realistic approach and accept Iran's legitimate and legal demands in order to pave the way for a final agreement.
On his account, Cavusoglu hoped that the Vienna Talks would yield results soon, protecting the rights of the Iranian people and safeguarding the common interests of all parties.
The two ministers also tackled Tehran-Ankara ties and discussed the latest Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, in which at least 46 people were killed, including women and children.
Amir-Abdollahian strongly denounced the Israeli aggression, whereas Cavusoglu described the killing of civilians as inhumane.
China: US has to respond to Iran's reasonable demands in talks
In a similar context, the Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Wang Wenbin emphasized that the US, which unilaterally withdrew from Iran's nuclear deal, should make a political decision as soon as possible and address Iran's legitimate concerns.
Wenbin also stated that the parties have reached an agreement on the vast majority of the arrangements related to the resumption of compliance at this point, with only a few outstanding issues remaining to be resolved.
He also stressed that China will actively participate in the upcoming negotiations and help put the JCPOA back on track, while also resolutely defending its legal rights and interests.
The talks between major powers and Iran aim to revive the 2015 nuclear agreement and return the United States to it following Washington's unilateral withdrawal in 2018 under then-President Donald Trump, who accompanied his decision with the imposition of harsh sanctions on Tehran.
