Iranian FM Confirms Resumption of Flights Between Iran and Azerbaijan
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein AmirAbdollahian stressed, during his meeting with the Azerbaijani Deputy PM, the need to facilitate relations between the citizens of the two countries.
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein AmirAbdollahian, during his meeting with Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Iran-Azerbaijan Joint Economic Committee Shahin Mustafayev, asserted the resumption of flights between the two countries.
Mustafa, who is currently visiting Tehran, met yesterday evening with AmirAbdollahian to discuss the latest developments in the Caucasus region and bilateral cooperation.
During the meeting, AmirAbdollahian expressed his satisfaction with the ever-growing trade between the two countries and the deep relations uniting them.
The FM further drew attention to the successes of the two countries in the field of vaccination, stressing the necessity of facilitating relations between the citizens of the two countries.
During the meeting, the Deputy PM of Azerbaijan expressed his satisfaction with the constructive meetings he held with the Ministers of Petroleum, Roads and Urban Development of Iran, declaring that the two countries are close to historic agreements in the fields of oil, gas and transportation.
The Azerbaijani side also stressed the constructive role of the foreign ministers of both countries in overcoming the recent tensions, declaring that the meeting of the Joint Economic Committee will be held early next year.
Referring to the trade exchanges between the two countries since the beginning of 2021, Mustafayev said that their increase by 22% during the outbreak of the pandemic indicates the friendly relations and economic capabilities of both sides.
The two officials also discussed the upcoming summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization.
