Iranian FM: Washington’s Economic War on Lebanon Won’t Be Allowed to Continue
Iran is always ready to support Lebanon in the field of energy, food, and medical materials, Iranian FM says.
Concluding his visit to Lebanon, Iranian FM Hossein AmirAbdollahian held a press conference in which he expressed his country's readiness to provide continuous support to Lebanon in the field of energy, food, and medical materials and talked about Tehran's dialogue with Saudi Arabia.
In the context of providing support to Lebanon in the field of energy, AmirAbdollahian said, "If the Lebanese government requests oil derivatives from Iran, Tehran is ready to help."
He considered that the Resistance in Lebanon enjoys an elevated status and that Hezbollah has always been at the forefront of those defending the Lebanese people, adding that it was Hezbollah that presented the idea of importing oil Iran, while the Lebanese private sector carried it out.
He also stressed that the countries and peoples of the region would not allow the United States to pursue its economic war and embargo on Lebanon.

He added, "If America is serious about returning to the nuclear agreement, then this [their seriousness] is something we can count on.”
