Concluding his visit to Lebanon, Iranian FM Hossein AmirAbdollahian held a press conference in which he expressed his country's readiness to provide continuous support to Lebanon in the field of energy, food, and medical materials and talked about Tehran's dialogue with Saudi Arabia.

In the context of providing support to Lebanon in the field of energy, AmirAbdollahian said, "If the Lebanese government requests oil derivatives from Iran, Tehran is ready to help."

He considered that the Resistance in Lebanon enjoys an elevated status and that Hezbollah has always been at the forefront of those defending the Lebanese people, adding that it was Hezbollah that presented the idea of importing oil Iran, while the Lebanese private sector carried it out.

He also stressed that the countries and peoples of the region would not allow the United States to pursue its economic war and embargo on Lebanon.

Responding to a question by Al Mayadeen's reporter, AmirAbdollahian said that Iran sees the equation of dialogue and openness as an opportunity to secure a bright future for the region and that "Iran and Saudi Arabia are important countries with a very important role in consolidating the region's security."

Nuclear energy for peaceful purposes

On the negotiations between Iran and the United States, the Foreign Minister said that Iran will not waste its time by sticking to the negotiations if the other party is not serious about returning to them. He added, "If America is serious about returning to the nuclear agreement, then this [their seriousness] is something we can count on.”

He declared that the Iranian government's main objective is a comprehensive, multi-faceted economic development plan, revealing that it has reached the stage whereby it is able to use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.

"In the near future, you will see the results of Iran's initiatives to bring peace and security to the region," AmirAbdollahian added.

Regarding the Israeli-Azerbaijani rapprochement, the Iranian Foreign Minister said that Iran would not allow the Zionist entity to carry out activities in the Caucasus, considering that the Israeli intelligence presence in Azerbaijan is not in the interest of this country.

Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah had received the Iranian Foreign Minister and his accompanying delegation, in the presence of the Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Mohammad Jalal FiruzNia.

Several issues, including the latest political developments in Lebanon and the region, were discussed, according to Hezbollah's statement Friday morning.
