Iranians protest against continued European desecration of Holy Quran
Tens of thousands of Iranians protested in Tehran and other cities denouncing European governments for allowing the desecration of the Holy Quran.
As a form of protest against the Holy Quran's desecration in Stockholm and Denmark, tens of thousands of Iranians have flocked to the streets in Tehran, as well as other cities.
Following Friday prayers, people throughout Iran demonstrated and chanted slogans decrying the insult to the sacred text.
According to protesters, the horrible crime is a provocation against the sanctities of more than two billion Muslims. Moreover, Iranians demanded that European governments contain the situation and put an end to Islamophobia.
European governments, however, excused this sacrilegious act under the guise of free speech. Rasmus Paludan, the Swedish-Danish Hard Line party leader and renowned Quran-burner, vowed, earlier today, to burn the Quran in front of the Turkish embassy, on the Friday of every week, in a provocative act to pressure Ankara to support Stockholm's bid to join NATO.
Paludan stated "I will proclaim that this is Erdogan's fault. Now that he doesn't want to let Sweden into NATO, I have to teach him about freedom of speech until he does."
Khamenei slams Quran desecration as arrogant powers' attack on Islam
Iran's leader Sayyed Ali Khamenei condemned on Wednesday the recent profanities committed by several European states against the Holy Quran.
"The insane desecration of the Quran, which is committed under the slogan of freedom of speech, shows the Arrogant Powers’ attacks are aimed at Islam itself and the Quran," Sayyed Khamenei said.
"The Quran is shining more brightly every day and the future belongs to Islam despite the Arrogant Powers’ plots," he added.
"All freedom-seekers of the world should stand by Muslims in confronting the wicked plot of insulting sanctities and spreading hate."
