Iran's army drone power prepared for all threats: Top Commander
A senior Iranian Army official, Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari, has declared that Iran's drone capabilities are now well-equipped to address potential threats from adversaries.
A high-ranking Iranian Army official has stated that Iran's drone capabilities have reached a point where they can effectively address any potential threats from adversaries.
Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari, the deputy chief of the Iranian Army for Coordination, made this declaration on Monday in anticipation of an extensive joint drone exercise involving units from the Iranian Army's Ground Force, Navy, Air Force, and Air Defense Force.
The exercise will reportedly cover extensive areas in central and southern Iran.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Sayyari revealed that the exercise would encompass over 50% of Iran's territory and include regions in the northern part of the Indian Ocean. He also emphasized that a part of the drone capabilities from all four units within the army would be assessed during this extensive military exercise.
“We use reconnaissance, combat, kamikaze drones, and drones that can carry missiles, bombs, and electronic warfare equipment [in the joint drill]. Our goal is to evaluate the precision of our drones, the skills of our pilots, and the power of our shots,” he stated.
Emphasizing that enhancing Iran's drone capabilities to address possible threats is a key objective of the exercise, Sayyari outlined additional goals that include testing all domestically-produced drones, assessing ammunition, measuring the scope of fire and explosion, and sharing expertise among participants in the drill.
This comes shortly after the Commander of the Iranian Army's Air Defense Forces, Brigadier General Ali Reza Sabahi-Fard, stated that his country "possesses the absolute and preeminent power in the field of air defense," stressing that its power is "undisputed in the region."

During the ceremony to “commemorate the 108 air defense martyrs,” Sabahi-Fard explained that the Iranian Army’s Air Defense Force “today possesses the latest and best indigenous-made equipment in the fields of detection, interception, engagement, and information systems at the global level after it was completely dependent on equipment imported from abroad.”
The General also stressed that Iran “possesses the capabilities and technologies necessary for air defense, while the enemies are aware of this power,” emphasizing that “Iranian skies are the safest in the world thanks to the presence of Iranian air defense and its advanced equipment.”
