Israeli media touched on Iran's new hypersonic ballistic missile, Fattah, which was revealed Tuesday by the Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC), Major General Hossein Salami.

Nir Dvori, a military commentator on the Israeli Channel 12, said, "The problem is if this missile goes through the atmosphere layer."

The military commentator explained, "I will try to describe this to you. Have you tried in your life to throw a stone in water? This missile makes a similar leap in the atmosphere, and this leap is difficult to know, observe, and intercept."

On his part, Ohad Hemo, a commentator on Arab affairs for Channel 12, said Iran is operating in several places a missile system directed at "Israel".

Hemo pointed out that once again, "Israel" sees this Iranian step as part of a series of steps aimed at deterring it.

He underlined that it is difficult, to the point of impossibility, to intercept the new Iranian missile due to its speed, which reaches Mach 13, and its movement, which no system can intercept.

The Israeli commentator mentioned that the United States does not possess hypersonic missiles, noting that only China and Russia have that.

The Israeli Maariv newspaper also considered the Iranian unveiling of the Fattah hypersonic missile as a message to "Israel".

Earlier, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said in a speech during the unveiling ceremony of the missile that Iran is aware that its enemies are angered by its achievements.

Raisi underlined that his country will not abandon its entirely homemade missile and defense program in the face of external threats.

"Today, we feel that [Iran’s] deterrence power has been developed, which is the source of security and sustainable peace for the regional countries," the Iranian President indicated.

He pointed out that Iran manufactures homemade missiles in order to protect itself from enemies.

On his part, IRGC Commander-in-Chief, Major General Hossein Salami, said Iran possesses diversification technology in manufacturing all kinds of systems, including the Fattah missile.

The IRGC unveiled on Tuesday its first hypersonic ballistic missile, named Fattah, which is capable of bypassing advanced air defense systems.

Raisi, Salami, and General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, the commander of the IRGC's Aerospace Force, attended the revealing ceremony.

Fattah, whose name was chosen by Iranian leader Sayyed Ali Khamenei, has a 1,400 km range and is characterized by a very high speed and the ability to maneuver against air defenses.

This comes a week after the IRGC announced that it will launch a new hypersonic missile after meeting all the necessary testing requirements.

According to previous statements, the missile can fly at speeds ranging between 12-15 Mach and can target enemy air defense batteries.

At the time, the IRGC described the production of the projectile as a “huge leap” in Iran’s missile industry.
