The Iraqi government has strongly condemned the ongoing brutal blockade imposed by the Israeli occupation on the people of the Gaza Strip, denouncing it as a systematic and inhumane policy aimed at starving the already devastated Palestinian population.
In an official statement, Baghdad said the "Scenes of starving children standing in long lines for a morsel of food, and images of women and men scrambling before the few available aid trucks, which have become death traps used by the occupation forces, are horrific and immoral practices that demand immediate international intervention to lift the siege and allow the delivery of relief aid to those in need."
The Iraqi government stressed that major powers, international organizations, and institutions are now facing a real test in upholding the rule of law, maintaining peace, and defending human rights and dignity.
Baghdad concluded its statement by urging an end to the starvation policy targeting Gaza’s residents and calling for pressure to be applied on Israeli leaders to immediately allow the entry of humanitarian aid into the besieged territory.

As the Israeli-made famine overtakes Gaza, 10 starved Palestinians died in 24 hours. The death toll among Palestinians who died due to starvation and malnutrition as a result of the brutal Israeli blockade has now reached 111.
Meanwhile, 34 starved Palestinians were killed and over 644 others were injured in the past 24 hours while trying to receive aid at designated "aid distribution sites," as per the Gaza Health Ministry's report.
The death toll among Palestinians killed while seeking food aid in designated distribution zones has now climbed to 1,060, with more than 7,207 others wounded, according to the report.
