Iraqi Air Forces Air Strike ISIS
A spokesperson for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Major General announced that the Iraqi Air Force carried out three strikes against ISIS remnants, under the supervision of the Joint Operations Command.
The Iraqi forces continue to carry out military operations to pursue ISIS remnants, either through their special forces or by airstrikes.
A spokesperson for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Major General Yahya Rasool announced today the implementation of a new operation against the remnants of the terrorist organization ISIS in Diyala Governorate.
Rasool tweeted, "The Iraqi Air Force carried out three airstrikes against ISIS remnants, under the supervision of the Joint Operations Command, using F-16s."
At the same time, the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) deterred an attack launched by the ISIS organization targeting the al-Mu'tasim district in Salah al-Din Governorate.
From its part, the Security Media Cell announced today that a number of ISIS remnants were found in Samarra.
The cell said in a statement that "the security forces belonging to the Samarra Operations Command began searching the area between Tal al-Dhahab and al-Sijlah," and noted that "a pile of remnants belonging to the terrorist ISIS was found."
