Iraqi intelligence cell eliminates two suicide bombers in Kirkuk
Al Mayadeen's correspondent says the two terrorists attempted to attack an event celebrating the anniversary occasion of the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad in northern Iraq.
Iraqi security forces eliminated two terrorists equipped with explosive belts in Benja Ali in the Kirkuk governorate, Brigadier General Muqdad Miri announced.
As a result of the work of Iraqi intelligence services, the government's Falcons Intelligence Cell was able to locate and corner two terrorists in Benja Ali and later shoot them dead, Brigadier General Miri stated.
During the clash, the two explosive belts worn by the terrorists exploded, which killed both of them, the security official added.

Earlier on September 4, two Iraqi army officers were martyred and four soldiers were wounded in a bomb attack in a remote area linking Kikruk to Erbil.
"Two officers, including a colonel, were killed and four soldiers were wounded" when their vehicle drove over an improvised explosive device, an Iraqi military source told Agence France-Presse (AFP).
Although no group took responsibility for the attack, ISIS terrorists have launched sporadic attacks in the governorate following their uprooting in Iraq and Syria.
