Iraqi President Discusses Regional Challenges with His Turkish Counterpart and Iranian FM

Amirabdollahian: It is necessary to benefit from all the capabilities available in the two countries
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian affirmed "the depth of strategic relations between Iran and Iraq," assuring his country’s readiness to develop comprehensive relations between the two nations.
This came during a meeting between the Iranian Foreign Minister and Iraqi President Barham Salih yesterday in New York, on the sidelines of the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly, where they exchanged views on bilateral relations and various issues of common concern.
During the meeting, Amirabdollahian stressed "the necessity of benefiting from all the capabilities available in the two countries," and conveyed the greetings of the Iranian president to his Iraqi counterpart.
For his part, Salih extended his greetings to Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, praising all the assistance provided by Iran to Iraq in the past years.
During the meeting, the leaders exchanged views on the most prominent issues in the international and regional arenas, including the situations in Afghanistan, Syria, Bahrain, and Yemen.
Saleh to Erdogan: To reject interference
In another context, Iraqi President Barham Salih stressed, during his meeting with his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the importance of ensuring stability in the region by respecting the sovereignty of states and rejecting foreign interference and aggression.
For his part, Erdogan praised Iraqi efforts to ease tensions in the region through dialogue, noting his country's support for Iraq's security and stability.
It is worth noting that these meetings, which the Iraqi president held on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly meeting, came within a series of talks with many foreign ministers and senior officials in other countries.
