IRCC: Resistance Weaponry Ready to Defeat US Occupation
The Iraqi Resistance Coordination Committee (IRCC) commented on July's US-Iraqi strategic dialogue saying they haven't witnessed yet any sign of US withdrawal from Iraq.
The Iraqi Resistance Coordination Committee (IRCC) commented on the outcomes of the strategic round of talks that aimed to oust the US occupation from Iraq and took place at the end of July 2021 between US President Joe Biden and Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi.
The committee mentioned that they haven't seen any sign of US withdrawal from Iraq, assuring that the US commitment to the outcomes of the so-called round of the US-Iraqi strategic dialogue has been closely monitored.
“We tracked the US blatant deployment of increasing numbers of troops or equipment at its bases in Iraq," the committee said.
It also stressed that some official and semi-official statements on US intentions not to withdraw from Iraq have been circulated, noting that "the Iraqi government didn’t deny any US statements revealing that Baghdad requested from the US not to withdraw from Iraq."
"When the withdrawal period expires, the honorable resistance's weaponry will be ready to dismember the occupation forces."
The IRCC stated that "the legitimacy of the resistance, which was founded by martyr Muhammad Baqir al-Sadr, humiliated the occupation and defeated its arrogance," adding that "the compass of the resistance’s weapon was, is, and will always be directed towards the occupier."
On his account, Iraqi President Barham Salih has lately confirmed that the results of the Iraqi-US strategic dialogue are important to achieve stability and strengthen Iraqi sovereignty.
The US President, during his meeting with the Iraqi PM in Washington, assured the latter that "the combat mission of the US forces will formally end in Iraq by the end of 2021."
