The ground forces of Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) initiated the Great Prophet 19 exercises on Saturday in the country's western region.

Iranian news agencies reported that the drills began with the relocation of the Mirza Kuchak Khan special brigade from Rasht Airport to Kermanshah Airport.

Additional details indicate that the military exercises will involve specialized divisions and units from the IRGC's ground forces, focusing on the western region of the country. The drills will also feature scenarios designed for rapid response operations.

This includes the swift deployment of troops and equipment to the maneuver area, where the Mirza Kuchak Khan Brigade carried out the first phase of these operations.

Iran 'fully prepared' for 'stronger defense measures' if attacked: FM

Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi emphasized on October 10 last year that Iran is ready to take stronger defensive measures if faced with aggression.

In letters addressed to foreign ministers worldwide, Araghchi condemned the Israeli occupation's war on Gaza and Lebanon, citing the resulting killing and displacement of civilians, as well as the destruction of infrastructure. The Iranian FM described these actions as severe threats to both regional and global peace, labeling them as war crimes, genocide, and crimes against humanity.

Araghchi also underscored that this failure has not only allowed for the war to continue but rather also emboldened the Israeli occupation as it continues to commit its crimes.

"If necessary, the Islamic Republic of Iran is fully prepared to take more and stronger defensive measures against any aggressive action and will not hesitate in this regard," he stressed. The top Iranian diplomat also urged collective efforts, on the diplomatic level, to force "Israel" to end its aggression on civilians in both Palestine and Lebanon at the time.
