Islamic Resistance in Iraq claims responsibility for targeting "Eilat"
The Islamic Resistance in Iraq says the strike comes in response to the massacres committed by the Israeli occupation against Palestinian civilians.
The Islamic Resistance in Iraq announced in the early hours of Friday that it targeted the occupied Palestinian city of Umm al-Rashrash ("Eilat") using appropriate weaponry against a specific target, stressing the continued implementation of attacks against the Israeli occupation.
The Iraqi Resistance issued a concise statement claiming responsibility for targeting Umm al-Rashrash located in the south of occupied Palestine.
The statement mentioned that Resistance fighters targeted a site in Umm al-Rashrash as part of their ongoing strategy of resisting the occupation, expressing solidarity with the people of Gaza, and in response to the massacres committed by the Israeli occupation entity against Palestinian civilians, including children, women, and elderly people.
It is noteworthy that last week, Axios highlighted that the arrival of merchant ships at the Israeli port of "Eilat" has "almost completely stopped" due to attacks from the Yemeni Armed Forces in the Red Sea against ships heading to the Israeli occupation entity.
In support of the Palestinian people and their Resistance and in response to the US backing of "Israel" amid the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq continues to target US bases and targets in the region, with Fox News reporting on December 17 that the number of attacks on US forces in Syria and Iraq has reached 100 distinct attacks in around two months.
