Islamic Waqf rejects Israeli decision on Talmudic rituals in Al-Aqsa
Islamic authorities in occupied Al-Quds reject the Israeli decision aimed at Judaizing Al-Aqsa Mosque through force, slamming it as illegal.
Islamic authorities in occupied Al-Quds expressed their rejection of the Israeli Magistrate's Court's decision to allow Jewish extremists to perform public Talmudic rituals in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque during incursions.
In a statement, the Islamic authorities stressed that the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque - with its area of 144 acres and all its chapels and corridors - is a wholly Islamic mosque for Muslims only, maintaining that its division or partnership is unquestionable, adding that the Mosque is part of the faith of all Muslims worldwide.
The statement underscored that the Islamic Endowment Department for Al-Quds is the legal authority entitled to administer all the affairs of the Mosque.
The authorities also indicated that all these decisions aimed at Judaizing the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque through force are null and illegal, adding that the Israeli occupation is turning the Mosque into a military barracks to provide protection and cover for the extremists’ daily and repeated incursions, which would drag the region into an unforgiving religious war.
The statement warned against altering the historical, religious, and legal situation that existed before 1967 in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, pointing out that the Israeli occupation government will bear the consequences of the serious repercussions of allowing Jewish extremists to storm and perform their Talmudic rituals, prohibiting all construction, restoration, and maintenance of the Mosque's facilities, and restricting the work of the Islamic Endowments Department.
The Islamic authorities' statement concluded by emphasizing the invalidity of the Israeli decisions as per international law, which does not recognize the authority of the Israeli judiciary over the Palestinian territories occupied in 1967, including East Al-Quds and all Islamic and Christian holy sites in the city, especially the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Dozens of settlers storm Al-Aqsa under IOF protection
On Monday, dozens of Israeli settlers stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Al-Quds, amid attempts to perform Talmudic rituals.
In the details, the Islamic Endowments Department in occupied Al-Quds said that "96 extremists stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque on Monday morning." More settlers are expected to storm the Mosque's courtyards in the afternoon.
The incursion began at the Mughrabi Gate, in the western wall of Al-Aqsa, guarded and escorted by Israeli occupation forces.
The settler groups had called for storming the Mosque and performing prayers after the decision of the Israeli Magistrate's Court in occupied Al-Quds on Sunday, which claimed that performing Talmudic rituals in the Mosque's courtyards "does not constitute a violation of public security."
The Palestinian Resistance factions condemned the Israeli decision, warning against its repercussions.
