'Israel' targets area between Kfar Chouba and Kfar Hamam in S. Lebanon
Al Mayadeen's correspondent says 'Israel' has fired more than 10 artillery toward the Lebanese territories of Kfar Chouba and Kfar Hamam while the information in Israeli media remains conflicting.
Israeli artillery shells targeted the area between Kfar Chouba, Halta and Kfar Hamam, all of which are located south of Lebanon, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported.
The correspondent also noted that 11 Israeli shells, launched from the "Al-Zaoura" site in the occupied territories, targeted the aforementioned region.
According to Israeli media, the information received regarding the event remained conflicting. Initially, it was reported that the sound of explosion was heard near the occupied town of Al-Ghajar, which is located in an occupied region of South Lebanon, was a result of a hand grenade that exploded within the liberated Lebanese territories and not a result of a rocket being fired from Lebanon toward "Israel".
Later, Israeli Channel 12's military correspondent said that what was fired at "Israel was not a missile, but two mortar shells, one of which landed on the border."
In turn, the military correspondent for Kan TV, Itay Blumenthal, stated that "the Israeli army fired 15 artillery shells in response to a missile fired from Lebanon towards Israel."
The spokesperson of the occupation army said that the investigations showed that "a rocket was fired from Lebanon, which exploded in Israeli territory, and in response to that, the Israeli army attacked the area from which the missile was launched on Lebanese soil."
This comes in conjunction with the developments in the occupied town of Al-Ghajar. Today, Hezbollah called on the state and the people to confront the Israeli measures, which are attempting to establish a de facto Israeli presence in the occupied town.
