Israeli aggression on West Bank not far from aggression on Gaza: PIJ
Commenting on the Israeli incursion into Jenin and Nablus on Saturday night, the PIJ confirms that the Palestinian people will continue to confront the occupation until its expansive project comes to an end.
The Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement said Israeli occupation forces are escalating their war intended for the extermination of the Palestinian people and the destruction of their properties.
The Movement released a statement on Sunday following "what happened last night in Jenin," which "bears witness to the scale of the aggression and terrorism targeting the Palestinian people."
Mourning the martyrs of Jenin and Nablus, including commander Asaad al-Damj of al-Quds Brigades, the PIJ's military wing, the movement affirmed the Israeli aggression on the West Bank is for the same reasons behind the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
The PIJ said Israeli actions aim to exterminate and displace the Palestinian people and further usurp Palestinian land, which goes hand in hand with the Israeli expansionist colonial project in the region.
In its statement, the movement stressed the need to confront the war, which the Israeli occupation is waging on Palestine "everywhere", stressing that "our people will not surrender to this aggression and terrorism, and we will fight the enemy with all that we have, as we stand confident that the Zionist wickedness will come to an end."
Eight Palestinians were martyred and others were injured during the occupation's aggression on Jenin and Nablus early this Sunday morning. The occupation attacked the Jenin refugee camp and besieged the government hospital, the headquarters of the Red Crescent Society, and the Ibn Sina Hospital, as the Resistance in Jenin confronted the occupation, which deployed attack drones and snipers.
Asaad Ali al-Damj (33 years old) was martyred after an Israeli drone bombed a house in the Jenin refugee camp. Four other Palestinians were martyred during the aggression on the Jenin refugee camp.
Eyewitnesses reported that an Israeli occupation forces drone carried out a strike on a house in the vicinity of Khalil Suleiman Governmental Hospital, which led to the martyrdom of al-Damj.
The occupation forces prevented ambulances from reaching the place to evacuate the wounded; a tactic commonly employed during its aggression on cities and towns of the West Bank.
